Happy 5th Birthday Thad!

Thad turns 5 years old today!

We had his birthday party on Saturday with all his friends.  There was a total of 12,  4-5 year olds running around crazy! His party was at Focus on the Family's play center.  It is a neat place, with about 4 rooms the kids can run and play in.

They have this cool plane that they can run through and do circles!

They also have a toddler room where the little ones can play.

Oliver had fun jumping off the flowers.

I could barely catch a picture of Thad, he was running all over the place.  I made him stop for just a second to grab this one!

He had a super hero party this year so we had to go with a Spider Man cake.

They had a soda shoppe room where we had cake and snacks.  They were all tired and thirsty from running and playing so much.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Thad, happy birthday to you!"

He got a lot of fun gifts.

I can't remember what was in this bag, but it must have been something good with that look!

Cool shades!

Thad got to open all his presents from mommy, daddy and Oliver this morning.  Oliver gave his present first!

Oliver got him a baseball glove and ball.  He wants to go outside when it warms up and play catch with daddy.

He also got a scooter! He was pretty excited about it and can't wait to try it out outside.

His favorite gift was this play kitchen! Anyone who knows Thad knows how much he LOVES to cook and play with food.  It's not too big and just the right size for him to cook.  He made daddy coffee and made me cereal!

Happy birthday to the sweetest boy around! He is caring, loving, sensitive, wild and the strongest boy we know! He is one of a kind and we are so blessed he is ours.  He is turning into such a little man and says and does the sweetest things.  He is so sweet to Oliver and always sharing and giving him his toys.    I can't wait to see how he will be with the new baby!

Love you lots Thad!

Build A Bear

We had a Children's Activity for Mended Little Hearts at Build a Bear.  I have never been and was excited to take the boys for their first bear! We had 20 kids in our group and they all made neat bears.  First they have you repeat the Bear Promise:

Then you get to put a special heart inside the bear and have it stuffed.  Thad got to push the button on the floor to make the stuffing fill his bear.  You can make it firm or soft! He wanted his soft.

Then you give your bear a fluff bath! Once you put the bear under the faucet, air comes out and you and you can brush and fluff your bear.

Thad helped Ollie with his bear and stepped on the button for him. He wanted Ollie's bear soft too.

All ready for an outfit!

Thad chose Spider Man for his bear! It is pretty neat.

Ollie chose Woody for his outfit! Once you get clothes on the bears, it really changes them! Both turned out really neat.

All the MLH kids with their bears!

Christmas

We had a busy Christmas! We were in Tribune this year for Christmas but managed to sneak to Hays for my families Budke Christmas.  Each year my mom's side gets together for a day and there is about 60+ with all the Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins!

Thad had a good time chasing Papa around!

Little Oliver is addicted to snoballs just like his momma! I love snoballs and have to get one or two when we go home.  Of course the kids have to have their own because they won't share!

It's always good seeing my Grandmother.  She hasn't been feeling the greatest lately so it was nice to be able to see her and get more pictures.

Here is the grandchildren clan.  Everyone is getting so big!

Shayna~Hannah~Macie~Jaelynne, Dawson, Thad, Avery and Ollie

We spent Saturday in Hays and then went back to Tribune.  It's always fun getting the kids together.

Here is Maddix, Josh and Thad.  They are all going to be 5 next year and have their own personalities!!!

Cora and Ollie had fun playing together.  Cora got a doll stroller for Christmas and she liked it when Ollie pushed her around Grandma's house!

As always the kids got way too many presents but they had a blast opening them.

The Christmas Dragon! Thad found an old Halloween costume of Tatum's and had to put it on.  He snuck in a few of the family pictures with it on!

No peeking for Santa!

Thad asked Santa for a cash register and he brought him one! He also got a wallet with money in it.  Oliver got a wagon he could pull and a stick pony. Last year Santa left a cookie for Thad to eat in the morning and this year he asked if Santa was going to leave him another cookie to eat! So Santa left two cookies this year, one for Thad and one for Ollie even though I think Thad ate both.

He was so happy to get his cash register!

 Silly boys

We had a great time celebrating with family.  Can't wait for next year when there will be one more boy in our Christmas picture.  On Christmas day, Adam's mom rented the 4H building so all the kids could run and play! They had bikes, scooters, balls, etc. there to play with and it was a great idea for the kids.

We got to see Chauchi too! He was excited to see us and is having a good time living with his sister in Tribune.  Can you spot him in this picture? He is a nut and both dogs like to get up on the roof and watch the cars.  As we were leaving I looked up and there he was, staring down at us with those big puppy eyes! I miss him, but not enough to bring him home! It's crazy enough with all these boys in the house, I can't do a dog right now too! Thanks Beth for taking such good care of him.

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
