Thad's Cardiologist checkup

Thad had his yearly cardiologist checkup yesterday. Overall his heart looks great! Dr Brames saw a little narrowing on his aortic arch that has narrowed a little more since last year. It wasn't enough to alarm our cardio just yet but he thinks Thad could need something done in the next few years. The spot where it is narrowed is a little tricky to balloon but we'll cross that bridge later. His mitral valve is actually looking better than last year which is fantastic news.

Thad's least favorite part is the blood pressure and EKG stickers. Poor guy always panics during this part. But he's tough and gets through it!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Brames. He is so good with kids and so patient.

For the past 3 years after he listens to his heart Thad has to listen to his heart. He meats tells him "your heart sounds pretty good"

We go back in another year with no restrictions. I always get nervous before his appointments but he is doing great so I shouldn't worry. We are so blessed he is doing so good.

Boys

Oh my sweet boys....
This is for sure be a yearly picture of the boys on the stairs. I'm sure as they get older they won't be as cooperative but it will be fun to look back through the years.

My boys are Mommas Boys!! I wonder how many times a day I hear the word "Mom". At times it's chaotic but I wouldn't trade it for anything! They are so sweet and so loving. I hope they stay this way for a long time. Time needs to slow down just a little.

All of a sudden they love bow ties! Grandma Luci bought one for Thad and of course Ollie had to have one too!

Kindergarten graduation

Our sweet boy graduated from Kindergarten. They actually call it a "promotion" but regardless he is growing up too fast! Thad is one of a kind. He is such a caring boy who loves his brothers. He is a big helper and is always worried about others. He is very sensitive and has the biggest heart.

Thad had the best teacher this year. Mrs Rush is amazing! Thad switched schools mid year and it was the best decision we made for him. He really grew this year and it was all thanks to his teacher who took the time to know Thad and find what his strengths were.

They sang a few songs that were so cute!

Thad got ice cream to celebrate! We love the little school he went to for Kindergarten and we are so sad he won't be there for 1st grade. We moved back in March and his school is a 25 min drive from our new house. I drove him there for the last few months of school but for next year he will go to a new school in a new school district. It's only a few blocks from our new house so it will be nice but also sad he will leave all the friends he made.

Here's to the class of 2026!!

New pets

Thad wanted a snail really bad. We went to look for them at the pet store and decided they were way too much work for now and we didn't want to get a big fish tank just yet. He went from wanting a snake, lizard, turtle and then with a little convincing he chose a Hermit Crab! I wasn't quite sure what to think at first and now I think I'm more obsessed with them!! They are really fun to watch and I've even watched a few videos on YouTube!
We got the whole set up for Herman the crab and thought we would just start with one (and make sure we could keep him alive!) Ollie really wanted his own crab so back to the pet store we went.

Ollie named his T-Rex and these little crabs fit Thad and Ollie's personality! Thad is more laid back and likes to "rest" on the couch and watch his movies. Ollie is all over the place, climbing, running and playing like crazy. Herman, Thad's crab likes to hang out and we hardly ever see him move. T-Rex is all over the place climbing and moving. It's fun to see them get so excited about the crabs!

This is T-Rex

Ollie and Andrew love watching the crabs during the day. They like to sleep most of the day and are more active at night.

It won't be long and we'll be getting a 3rd crab for Andrew!

New house!

We bought a new house! We loved our small cozy house that we bought back in 2007 but with 3 growing boys and only one bathroom we thought it was time to upgrade. We listed our house and within 5 days had an offer. The hunt was on for us to find the perfect home for our boys. I had a few must haves in the new house- laundry that was not in the kitchen and at least 2 bathrooms! Adam wanted a two car garage and nice backyard for the boys to play. I think we did pretty good with this 4 bed/3 bath.

Living room - I had to have the red wall!

Our room that is finally big enough for a King size bed!
4th bedroom in basement. Ready for guests!

It was pretty much move in ready but we've done a few small things to make it ours. We are loving the extra space and the boys love their new house. More bathrooms for me to clean but I'll take it!
