Baby carrying at its finest.....

I recently got a Boba 3 carrier and LOVE it.  I wish I would have had it when Ollie was a little baby.  He is so calm when I am wearing him.  He just hangs there and looks around.  It has pockets for keys and cell phone and a cute little hood that snaps in case its sunny or he wants to take a nap.  You can wear it on the front or back.

Thad loves it too.  It carries up to 45 lbs and Thad thinks he's pretty cool when he is riding on my back.

We went hiking a few weeks ago and it was great to have.  I carried him up the trail and Adam carried him down the trail on his back.  He took a nice little nap on Adam's back.  If you are looking for a carrier I would definitely recommend the Boba!

9 Months=Big Boy

Yesterday Oliver turned 9 months.  He had his Dr. checkup in the morning and weighed 19 lbs 11 oz. and is 29 inches tall.  He didn't have to have any shots so that is a plus! Thad was happy for his brother and that he didn't cry.  When we were done he said to Oliver "Good job buddy!"

He still only has the one tooth (which is okay with this momma since I am breastfeeding!) He loves to eat anything in sight and wants to feed himself.  I can usually get a few bites of baby food in him and then he wants to pick up the food and eat it himself.  He grunts at me if I am eating something and not sharing with him!

This is what happens when big brother helps.  He is always so thoughtful and wants to share little pieces of food with Ollie.  I went into the kitchen to get something and must have been gone for only about a minute and came back to this!

He is such a big helper!

Ollie is starting to pull himself up more and more.  He moves around everywhere without crawling forward.  He crawls backwards, pushes himself backwards and pivots to get where he wants to go.  He moves quick too!

Last night was the first night he slept in his own crib.  Yes, he has slept with us for the past 9 months.  I liked it, and he really liked it! The only problem was he wanted to wake up about 5 times a night to nurse.  Every weekend I said to Adam, this is the night he is going in his own bed.  It never worked until last night. I finally got the courage up to move him in his room (I think the his Dr. gave me a little boost).  For the first night he did pretty good.  He went to bed around 8:30. He woke up 3 times before midnight at 10:30, 11:15 and 11:45.  He whined a little, cried a little but it wasn't the terrible cry.  He put himself back to sleep one of the times and I got up and nursed him the others.  The next time I woke up was at 5:00 am to him crying a little.  I couldn't believe that he slept from midnight to 5 am! He has NEVER done that.  I fed him at 5 and back to bed he went until 8:30 am! I was pretty impressed with our little guy for doing so good the first night.  It's always harder on the momma. I'm hoping tonight goes even better!

His one snaggle tooth!

Thad got some new bubbles and Ollie loved them.  From the minute I start blowing them, his mouth is open, fists are clinched and he is making a cute grunting/growling noise.  He liked when they popped on his head.

I can't believe he is already 9 months old.  I love this age.  He is turning into a big boy.  He loves his voice and loves spitting bubbles.  He thinks the pug is pretty funny and tries grabbing his ears.  He has the best big brother who is always there for him sharing his toys, food and wants to wrestle him badly.
