Dog walker

We went to the park last week and took Chauchi with us. It was a treat for Chauchi and more work for mommy!Thad loved having him and loves walking him. He does pretty good until Chauchi starts running and knocks Thad over!!! When we go on walks Thad likes to sit in the stroller, hold Chauchi's leash and have him pull him.

If anyone needs a dog walker you can call Thad!!!!!!

Krause Family

Yesterday we walked in our 3rd buddy walk with the Krause family! It's always a fun time and lots of people gather together to support kids/adults with Down Syndrome. Peter is the youngest Krause but not for long. By the beginning of next year he will be a big brother!

The buddy walk is a three mile walk around Manitou Springs. The weather was perfect. Thad rode in the stroller most of the time but he did walk a little until he started running and making mommy nervous with all the people. They give away prizes if you are the first to bring them what they ask for. When the announcer called out something Elmo, I scooped Thad up and ran to the stage. Thad was wearing his elmo hat so it was perfect!He was so happy he won as he held his prize. He kept saying Elmo and pointing to his new prize!

As you cross the finish line they hand out ribbons!

Birthday Girl

Happy birthday to the greatest wife, mom, daughter, sister etc... I know. Mindy truly makes everyone around her a better person. She always thinks of herself last and put everyone's happiness in front of her own.

Blessing 33..............5 Year Anniversary

Today Adam and I have been married for 5 years!!!! We have been together for a total of 8 years already. Adam is my best friend, I can tell him anything and know that he will always be here for me. We have such a good relationship and over the years have become so close. We have been through alot together as a couple and it only makes us stronger. We have two wonderful children together who are such blessings in our lives. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Adam. Here are a few pictures of us along the way.

Blessing 32

Last week my mom brought my neices out for one more visit before they started back to school. We always have a full house with three extra girls running around but it's always a fun time. This time we went the North Pole. We had such a fun time even though it rained on us 6 times!!! We rode as many rides as possible and Thad loved it. It was a good thing we had the girls to take him on the rides. Shayna was a big help and sat with him each time and made sure he sat still. The slide of course was fun and Thad loved it.

They all got their picture taken with Santa. I'll have to post that later once I get it scanned in. Thad of course cried but it still made for a cute picture. Here is a video clip of the four of them riding the boats. You'll see Thad open his mouth as he looks at us. Grandma Luci had a piece of licorice and Thad spotted it and wanted a bite!

After we all recovered from a fun day at the North Pole we also went to the park, did a little shopping, went swimming, and went to a luau at the YMCA. The Y where Adam worked had a luau on Friday night so we all dressed in our Hawaiian gear. They had bowling with pineapples, hula hoops, limbo, and a fun green screen where you acted like you were surfing and they will impose your picture on a wave and surf board. We don't have those back yet so I'll post those later too! Thad joined in on all of it. He wanted the balls from the bowling and wanted to crawl under the limbo stick. He looked too cool that night with his Hawaiian shirt and sun glasses.

My mom, aunt and I even got to go see a chick flick! We saw 'The Time Travelers Wife.' It was good but I'm still confused on how it all happened!!!!

Thanks mom for coming out and bringing the girls. Sometimes it gets overwhelming but it is a fun time. Thad enjoyed the girls being here. He climbed, jumped, and wrestled them all weekend.

Tribune Fair

Last weekend we went back to Tribune for the fair. During fair all of Adam's brother and sisters come home. It's a fun time and a crowded house!

We had a birthday party for Emma and sent balloons up to Heaven. We also had rainbow chip cake.

It was good seeing all the family and friends. We had a good time and the weather was actully nice!

Blessing 31.............Adam&Thad

Adam and Thad have a wonderful father son relationship. They have really bonded over the past months and love hanging out together. On Monday's they have their special time just the two of them and Chauchi too. When Adam is laying on the floor Thad has fun climbing all over him. Thad is always concerned if Adam leaves the room, he calls out for him and makes sure he can keep an eye on him at all times. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows as Thad gets older.

These are probably my favorite pictures of Adam and Thad. They were taken at the zoo a few weeks ago. Thad is such a big boy walking with his Daddy.

Happy Birthday to our Emma

Today would be Emma's 3rd birthday. I can't believe it has already been 3 years. The pain never goes away but we learn to deal with that pain in a different way. She is on our mind constantly and we keep her memory alive through pictures and talking of her often. When we ask Thad where Emma is he looks up towards Heaven with a big smile on his face. We walk by her picture and he starts pointing and smiling and attempts to say Emma. We know Emma is with Jesus and she is in the best place she could be. Emma did so much for our family and continues to show us what is important in life. She is whole, healthy, happy, safe and looking over us everyday.

Emma, we love you so much. We miss you every minute of every day and wish you were here with us now. We celebrated her birthday in Tribune with family. We sent birthday balloons to Heaven and had a birthday cake.
