Color me Rad 5K

I have never been a runner but over the past year I have trained with a few friends and we did our first 5K in December 2013. We signed up for the color me rad 5K and I am so glad I did! It was such a rush seeing thousands of people there and color bombs going everywhere.

I ran with my sweet friend Adie and her son Zach. She made us these tutus to wear but we decided not to wear them for the race.

Nice white shirts before the race!

At every mile they had color stations and would throw the powder at you while running. I'm sure I breathed in way more than I was supposed to!

We ran the 3.1 miles in 32.20 which is my best time yet!

They give everyone a color bomb as you cross the finish line and then everyone throws them up at once. It was insane and so much fun!

The boys were looking out the window as I came home and didn't know what to think of my look. They just kept staring at me and Thad wanted me to stay like that forever 😊

If you get a chance to do this fun race you should! Can't wait for next year!

40th Wedding Anniversary

My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 11th. We went back to Russell and had a nice dinner with some of their close friends.

So proud of my parents and for the example they show of what a loving marriage is. 40 years is a big accomplishment!

We had a sign made for them of some of their accomplishments over the past 40 years.

Each color represents the Grandkids. Something fun for them to have and something fun from the kids!

My brother Mike and sister Michelle

My gorgeous niece Shayna. I'm not sure how she got this big already. It seems like she was just born!

The boys always have to have a motorcycle ride from Papa.

We also had family pictures taken. Dawson, Mikes son couldn't be there so it was a bummer not to have him in the pictures.

Congrats mom and dad!! So blessed to have you for my parents!

Ollie's 3rd birthday

This sweet boy turned 3 last Monday. Oliver is such a sweet boy but he also is a little fiesty at times! He is growing up so fast and becoming quite the little man. He looks up to Thad and follows everything he does. He is all boy and loves dinosaurs, playing outside and bugs! His favorite bug is a rolly poly. He loves finding them under rocks and holding them until he accidentally holds them to tight!

He lines his Dino's up like this all the time!

For his birthday lunch he wanted Freddy's!

We had a BBQ with a few friends and family to celebrate. He loves dinosaurs so we topped the cupcakes with his favorite Dino's!

Landon, Ollie and Parker- his best buds!

He was so excited to open all his presents!

Ollie has always taken a few toys to bed at night but that night he wanted all of his new toys to come. He is so funny!

Oh Ollie, we love you so much! He is a complete mommas boy. He loves Thad, Andrew and Emma so much. He gets away with a lot because if those curls. Couldn't imagine life without him.

Happy Fathers Day

When we grow up we want to be just like daddy! I am so blessed to have Adam as my husband and father to my boys and sweet Emma. I couldn't imagine going through life without him. He is so good with the boys and takes great care of us.

Happy Fathers Day to my dad and all the other dads!

Roundup River Ranch

Roundup River Ranch is a camp for children who have life threatening illnesses. They recently had a cardiac weekend (in May, I write this post and never published it!) and we were able to go. It is free and so much fun!

They have the weekend all planned out with plenty of free time. The first night we had a camp fire and s'mores.

Adam took Thad and Ollie fishing. They didn't catch anything but had a blast!

The boys went canoeing in the lake.

Adam, Thad and I climbed this rock wall and zip lined down to the bottom. I was so proud of Thad for climbing this and not giving up. He loved the zip line!

The boys rode horses.

It was such a great family weekend. Thad will be able to go on his own when he turns 7. He can't wait for next year!
