Celebrating 6 years

Today Adam and I are celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary! The time has gone so fast these past 6 years. Adam and I had a date night this weekend to celebrate. We had dinner and saw a movie- The Switch. It was actually pretty funny and a good movie.

My bridesmaids, Rachel, Michelle, Shiloh and Rachel
and the ring bearer and flower girl Zekke and Shayna
Adam's groomsmen, Jason, Kyle, Seth and Jon
Adam's sisters- Beth, Jill and Jena
Our wedding was such a fun time. We got married back in Kansas in hot humid August weather. We had the traditional Catholic wedding followed by a reception, dinner and dance. Adam and I left our wedding night for Wichita to catch a flight bright and early the next day. For our honeymoon we took a cruise to Mexico.

Oh the good times of being a newlywed and only worrying about ourselves at the time. In the past 6 years our lives have changed so much. We have added to our family and have grown so much in these past years.

I love you Adam even more than when I met you over 9 years ago. Thank you for being the best husband and father!

Tribune Fair

We headed back to Tribune for the fair and didn't end up going to any events! They had an all school reunion this year and we didn't even make that. We did make it to the parade and the kids had fun climbing and collecting candy.
Gracie and Thad
Waiting for the candy!
The kids all took turns driving the tractor! Thad is a pro already.
We took a picture of the cousins who were there.

Cole, Thad, Titus, Zekke, Maddix, Jacob and Gracie
We were missing Josh, Tatum and Jude.
The kids always have a fun time together. Thad and Maddix play together and the other big kids like to play and have Papa Wayne make them cool wood toys!

On a side note, Baby Jude got to go home from the hospital yesterday! He had been in for about 2 weeks. Please continue to pray for baby Jude and his parents Beth and Matt and sister Tatum.

Fair in Russell

We went back to Russell for a wedding and the Russell fair. Thad had so much fun with Dawson riding all the rides. They each got a wrist band and rode for hours!
Adam was the chosen one to ride with them since they were too little for some of the rides. They loved the tea cups!

Thad did pick the pink tea cup and dino to ride! He does love the color pink!!
I thought Thad would be able to ride on Adam's lap going down this BIG slide. I see them at the top and Adam had to get Dawson and Jaelynne going then he sits down and puts Thad beside him on a sack. My heart is dropping at this point because I assumed he would ride on Adam's lap. It turned out to be find and Adam put him beside him and of course held onto him. Thad loved it and went down the slide a few more times!

Thad fed a baby goat a bottle of milk. The little goat sucked down the bottle in no time. Thad thought it was pretty funny to watch him drink from a bottle.

My cousin Molly got married in Salina so we headed there on Saturday. Thad loves dancing and stayed up dancing with his cousins.

This is Tony, my uncle and Thad. They are two silly boys!
We stopped by to see Adam's dad and grandparents in Salina. We always have to take a four generation photo!
It was a fun quick trip back to Kansas but it was a good time. It was so hot and humid but we survived!

Happy Birthday Emma-Light shining down from Heaven

Our light shining from Heaven
Happy birthday to our baby girl in Heaven. Today Emma would be 4 years old.....it seems like yesterday we were holding her in our arms. I can't believe it has been 4 years. I remember the day she was born, filled with so much emotion and love. She was so small and so sweet. Even though she was only here for a short time she touched so many lives.

Emma the duck.......
We have a birthday party for Emma every year. We seem to be in Tribune every year for her birthday so we have a birthday party with Adam's family. We bake a cake and honor our little Angel. We get pink balloons and write all her cousins names on them with a message and then we all release them. This year we will be in Colorado for her birthday. We will still have a birthday party for her and probably make a snack for her squirrel friends at the cemetery. We will still release pink balloons for her and celebrate her life.

(Thanks Becki for the collage for Emma)

We watched Emma's movies for the first time in a long time. It was sad to see them but it also made me happy to see her in full motion- yawning, smiling, kicking her feet and hearing her soft cry. We am so used to just seeing her picture so it was comforting to watch her every move. This was the first time Thad actually saw a video of Emma and right away he pointed to the TV and said Emma! He sat on my lap watching her saying "hi sissy".

October 5, 2006

I decided to share a few of Emma's movies. It's not to make anyone sad (which I know will make everyone sad) but it's to share Emma with those who never met her and to those who did meet her to remind them of her. I was having trouble uploading them to blogger but if you click here you will see a video on October 1, 2006 with Emma playing with her play yard. If you click here you will see a video of Emma on November 3, 2006 sitting on the couch like a big girl. I have many more and might post some of those throughout these next three months.
