Our light shining from Heaven
Happy birthday to our baby girl in Heaven. Today Emma would be 4 years old.....it seems like yesterday we were holding her in our arms. I can't believe it has been 4 years. I remember the day she was born, filled with so much emotion and love. She was so small and so sweet. Even though she was only here for a short time she touched so many lives.

We have a birthday party for Emma every year. We seem to be in Tribune every year for her birthday so we have a birthday party with Adam's family. We bake a cake and honor our little Angel. We get pink balloons and write all her cousins names on them with a message and then we all release them. This year we will be in Colorado for her birthday. We will still have a birthday party for her and probably make a snack for her squirrel friends at the cemetery. We will still release pink balloons for her and celebrate her life.

We watched Emma's movies for the first time in a long time. It was sad to see them but it also made me happy to see her in full motion- yawning, smiling, kicking her feet and hearing her soft cry. We am so used to just seeing her picture so it was comforting to watch her every move. This was the first time Thad actually saw a video of Emma and right away he pointed to the TV and said Emma! He sat on my lap watching her saying "hi sissy".

I decided to share a few of Emma's movies. It's not to make anyone sad (which I know will make everyone sad) but it's to share Emma with those who never met her and to those who did meet her to remind them of her. I was having trouble uploading them to blogger but if you click here you will see a video on October 1, 2006 with Emma playing with her play yard. If you click here you will see a video of Emma on November 3, 2006 sitting on the couch like a big girl. I have many more and might post some of those throughout these next three months.

I just discovered your blog. I am so sorry for your loss, I too have an angel warrior in Heaven, Griffin had HLHS and lost his fight at 7 days old. We will add you guys to our prayers, and ask God to continue to bless and comfort your family while you wait to join Emma again in Heaven one day <3
