Denver Aquarium

 Mended Little Hearts had a celebration of life party at the Denver Aquarium. We had a great turnout with our MLH families and everyone had a great time.

They had a catered picnic for us with fun surprises.  We took pictures with the mermaids!

They made these cute name tags for everyone.  It was good to have so we could keep track of everyone in our group.

This was our first time at the aquarium and it was so fun! We got to see the mermaids.  Thad thought that was pretty neat.

He looks a little scared in this picture but he was too excited to stop for a picture so he gave me a half smile and ran on!

This one is a little better! Ha! He is so funny with his smiles :)

Ollie LOVED it! He was so excited seeing all the fish.

Thad got to feed the sting rays and one came up to get food and Thad quickly pulled his hand back!

It was a fun time with all our MLH families.  It is always good to get together and see the kids play and have fun.  A big thank you to the Bauers who gave us this incredible celebration!

Steamboat Springs

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Steamboat Springs for a family vacation.  Some friends of us graciously gave us a week free in their timeshare! The place was amazing, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, huge kitchen, living area and 4 pools! 

Oliver liked going on the patio and pointing at squirrels!

There was an air show going on over the weekend and we had a big surprise for Thad!

He liked seeing the planes up close.

Ollie liked pointing at all the planes and loud noises they were making.

When we got to the air show we surprised Thad and told him he was going to go up in this plane below! It was a C-47 and Thad and daddy were going to go flying! When we got there the lady said the kids could ride on our laps if I wanted to go for the same price! So it was a surprise for me and Ollie too! 

He was so excited to go on his first plane ride.  

It was really loud on the plane so they had ear phones to help hide the noise.  Ollie liked wearing them.

Once the plane took off we got to get up and move around.  We made it to the back of the plane and had a nice view.  This was Thad's excited face!

It was neat to see Thad so excited about being in the plane.  

Thad went and thanked the pilots when we were finished.

We also went on a gondola ride to the top of Mt. Werner.  It was about a 10 minute trip one way so we got lots of views to look at.

Once we got to the top we had a nice picnic.   

 The views were amazing and it was so nice up there.  

Thad and Adam got to go on the Alpine slide.  They took this cool lift up to the top.

Ollie and I waited down at the bottom and took pictures of them coming down.  Thad's face is priceless! He was so excited and said it was FUN! He wanted to do it again but the line to get to the top was a 30-45 minute wait! 

 His favorite thing to do was go swimming! He liked the hot pool the best.  We went swimming a few times a day.

The weather was great and perfect for swimming.

We had a great time on our vacation making memories.  The best part was the King Size bed that we all cuddled in every night and morning and watched cartoons.
