Thomas the Train

We took Thad to see Thomas the Train in Golden, CO. It was so much fun! We saw a commercial on PBS about 2 months ago and ever since then he has talked about going to see Thomas. I told him 2 weeks ago that I bought tickets and everyday since then he asked about Thomas. Today we finally got to see him!

We had to park and take a bus to the Train Museum- here is Thad's excited face!
Right when we pulled up this is what we saw! Thad was so excited to see Thomas.
There was lots to do at the Train Museum. Thad got a tattoo of Thomas.
Thad handed his ticket to the man at the station. He was ready to go!
Checking out some of the other trains

The perfect picture! Thad was so excited and of course did his famous smile with his clenched fists! Everyone was laughing around us saying how much excitement he has. Of course we had to buy the over priced photo, but it was well worth it!

We rode in one of the last cars and Thomas took us around three times. It went around the train museum and was just the right amount of time.

They had different stations you could visit. There was a story session, tattoo place, an imagination station where there were toys they could play with, a Sir Topham Hatt place and of course the HUGE gift shop!

Thad snuck in a picture with the Conductor after the ride.
Thad was a little scared of Sir Topham Hatt. I was able to sneak in a picture before he had a melt down! He was crying and screaming by the time it was over. He wanted away from Sir Topham Hatt!
Playing with the trains at the Imagination station.
At the end of the day Thad said "Mommy, I'm so happy!" He said it about 10 times throughout the day how happy he was.

He was worn out by the end of the day! He had so much fun with Thomas. We bought lots of little souvenirs. This might be a tradition we have started!
