Thad's Cardiologist Appointment

Today was Thad's cardiology appointment with Dr. Brames. When he asked me this morning where we were going and I told him to see Dr. Brames he started crying and said he didn't want to go to the Dr's house! I convinced him there were toys he could play with and that Dr. Brames just wanted to listen to his heart. The minute we pulled up to the office he was in tears :( You would have thought he was being tortured during the echo and EKG. He did finally calm down once Alicia put Toy Story on for him to watch. He also brought Woody so that made it a little better.
After his echo he got to pick two dinosaurs that he could take with him. The EKG was the hard part! I held him on my lap with baby Oliver poking far out and a crying 3 year old squirming all around! He is one strong little 35 pounder. He didn't like the stickers they had to put on him and the cords they hooked onto the stickers.

After that he calmed down a little and was a very good boy when Dr. Brames came in. He listened to Dr. Brames heart and his own heart and said "all done, my heart is okay!" Dr. Brames convinced him to let him listen. He kept saying "I'm a big boy, I not cry for Dr. Brames!"
I always have to get a cheesy grin with Thad and Dr. Brames
It was a great appointment and everything looks good with Thad's heart. His mitral valve is functioning good for now and all the pressures looked good. Heart function is great! He said he is a strong healthy little boy! We go back in one year for another checkup. We are so thankful Thad is doing so well. He is such a sweet boy. God knew what he was doing when he made Thad!

Sunday Funday at the Zoo

It was a gorgeous day today so we decided to go to the zoo. We love going to the zoo and definitely get our money out of our zoo pass!

Tiger Thad and Tiger Daddy posing for the camera
Thad gave his best Grrrrrrrr.........

We always have to stop by Emma's rock. Thad's famous smile to go with it!
Today he decided he wanted to ride the pony instead of the carousel. Do you notice his big boots?!?!? Nana Luci got those for him and he loves wearing them. They are a little big for him but he doesn't care, and they were perfect for pony riding :)
His pony's name was Sunny. He told Sunny to "Go faster!"

We had never rode the little trolly before today. With me being so close to delivery it was a nice break to ride (although my intention of going to the zoo was to get this baby moving and ready!). We rode the trolly one time around the zoo before we left. Thad wanted to keep riding over and over again so we'll probably have to do it again. Of course he told the driver to go faster too!
Here is a video of Thad riding Sunny

Baby Sprinkle

Oliver had his 'baby sprinkle' on Saturday. It was supposed to be a small version of a shower but the amount of diapers, clothes, etc. I got there was nothing small about it! My coworker from work put on a beautiful shower with games, food and of course gifts!

The cake that Thad decided he wanted to try early. I think there was 3 spots dug in from where he helped himself to frosting!

A few people got Thad gifts so he was happy he got to open a few presents.
Cute baby clothes
Lots of diapers!

The scrapbook I wanted for baby Oliver!
Ang made these adorable pictures....one for Oliver
a Shaun the Sheep for Thad.....
and she even made one for Emma. These pictures are so cute!
Here are the diapers we got and this picture is missing a few boxes! I got a few more delivered to my work the next day. We figured a total of 1,672 diapers ranging from newborn to size 3 and a total of 1,112 wipes! They are stacked in Thad's closet and it will be nice not to buy diapers for a few months!!!!
I am so blessed to have so many good people in my life. My work and coworkers have always been supportive of our family. We are very blessed to have such great friends and family who take such good care of us!
