The heart walk was at the Airforce Academy. It was FREEZING cold again this year. We toughed it out and did the one mile family walk.

I made signs to carry and decorated the wagon with CHD awareness signs.
Thad with his sign.........1 in 100 babies are born with a Congenital Heart Defect.

Walking for Emma and Thad.......

Grandma Kathy and Papa Wayne joined us for the walk. Thanks for walking with us!
The proud walker! I got a medal for raising $500 and Thad loved wearing it!
We had cheerleaders on the side lines cheering us on and Thad and I joined in the clapping!

It was another great walk minus the weather! We support such a great cause and there needs to be more awareness about Congenital Heart Defects. Too many children are diagnosed with a CHD and there needs to be more awareness and hopefully a cure one day. It has definitely affected our lives and will always be a constant reminder of how precious life is.
